Our Story
Seal Team was started in 2016 with a very simple prayer:
“Father, move in our city's schools,
and bring life to broken places.”
The first Seal Team group started with two dads and eighteen sixth-graders who met in a library before school each week. The name “Seal Team” was chosen because of the seven-year fight fathers and sons were willingly entering into in pursuit of biblical masculinity; after all, our nation's own Navy Seals capture the essence of courage and brotherhood better than anyone else.
What started with a couple of dads and a handful of boys has organically grown into many groups of fathers and sons who are running to the battle for the heart of the next generation of young men. Each week across our city, multiple Seal Team groups (grades 6–12) lock shields and fight for one another with a common mission: to become courageous men of God.
