Our Commitments

Every student who joins the fight by participating in Seal Team commits to the following values:

 

FOLLOW  Jesus. 

Jesus is our leader; we take our direction from Him. We believe that He is the greatest example of what it looks like to be a true warrior. So often we view Jesus simply as friend or shepherd, but He is also a warrior King. Anyone who goes willingly to a cross and rises from the dead to defeat Satan, sin, and death is without question the greatest warrior ever to exist. And not only is He fighting on our behalf, but according to the Apostle Paul in Romans 8:11, that same warrior spirit that raised Jesus from the dead can live in and empower each of us in our own battles.

 

FIGHT for one another.

Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend." We are committed to the journey of building true friendships that bear the weight of truth. This is not an easy task; it takes time and intentionality, but it's so worth it. We are driven to teach our young men how to live as true allies who fight for one another.

 

LEAD the way.

We want our young men to lead by example in character, integrity, and love for others. We desire that all who participate in Seal Team will choose to see their school as the ultimate mission field and lead there as agents of change for Jesus.  

 

SERVE others.

Jesus’ strategy to change the world was to lay His life down for each of us. It was radical. It was countercultural. It was humble. Like Jesus, we at Seal Team don’t ascend to greatness; we descend into service to those around us as we lay down our lives for one another.
